3.1. I know that Cultural Competence is key not only in a classroom but in every single day of life in every field.

3.2. I know that Cultural Competence allows students to connect with kids who may look different from them and it also helps them to connect with their community.

4. What did I LEARN

4.1. I learned that it is important for teachers to have cultural competence because they have to be able to see each child for who they are not for what their body looks like or what their background is. Its also important for teachers because they have to be able to meet with the parents and community and be able to see past their differences and see each one as a person not defined by their religion or skin tone.

4.2. I learned that cultural competence is important because without it people will go around saying hurtful things and treating people like a label not like the person they are. Its important because unless we are culturally competent the world isnt going to get any better. It all starts with us,, now.
