1776-1861Natives, Africans, Mestizos in the U.S.

1. Jefferson note n the state of virginia was that everything depended on their skin color. Their work ethic was much more greater than the whites during that time

2. War of Violence and Violations: According to Antonia Castaneda, the war was about territory. They created a fake border which made part of homes on american soil. Land, labor, and wealth. Castaneda said that during war, cultures and race starts to erase and the history they have created also erases.

3. 1840's Manifest Destiny: The Manifest Destiny was used for the expansion of the United States in Mexico during the time of the economic crisis, and while Mexico was trying to become independent from Spain.

4. Mestizos: The war between Mexico and the United States was a war that reflects racism. It targeted the Mexicans living there. The Mexicans were told they were considered Americans when it came to working, but were denied their rights.

4.1. Latinos in their own land: society has identified that the first language spoken in the US was spanish and that San Agustin was the first spanish in the US

4.2. David J. Weber studied the war between the US and Mexico. it was along the lines of Texas which they discovered gold. It turned out to be something big because of the expansionist, transcontinental empire and late became the global stage.

5. Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo:The peace treaty was signed in the city of Guadalupe Hidalgo. They gave Mexico 15 million for the damage done during the war.

6. African Americans, part one: How would jefferson put in the declaration of independence to free slaves, if he owned more than 100 slaves himself.

7. Africans: They were made into slaves and antagonized based on the color of their skin tone. The color of everything, their skin, hair, figure made them different.

10. A Peoples History Chapter 7: Indian Removal to clear the land for white occupancy.

11. Invasion of America: The invasion seized 1.5 billion indigenous. It was referred to as the treaty and executive order to seize the indigenous out t=of the land. On the map it shows that the seising started down south and eventually moved up both west of the United Sates map.

12. Indian Removal: It targeted the Cherokees to provide according to Andrew Jackson physical comfort and moral improvement. Jackson wanted to turn them into farmers and tried to have everything they needed. He also said that they provided some steel, iron and not often but salt.

13. 1835 -1859 Native Americans

14. Native Americans: President Jackson suggested for the white people to move into the land of the Indians and force them to migrate. The strategy used was "practiced extensive bribery."
