2.2. The friendship theme appears in this chapter when Huck is telling Mary Jane about the money that the duke and the dauphin hided. He asks her to wait because the freedom of another person (Jim) might be in danger. By asking that he is making sure that his friend will be safe, and she will get her money back.

3.1. The Pitiful Ending of Royalty

3.2. This chapter is all about friendship, since Huck meets with his friend Tom Sawyer. Tom is willing to help Huck save Jim, and he goes to the house where Jim is supposedly being held, so they could knwo for sure where Jim is. At some point they sneak out, find people going after the duke and the dauphin, and Huck tries to help them even after what they did to him.
