1. The Micronesian people need to be able to come to the US for our health-care, and they would lose those opportunities if we didn't support them

2. The US has a moral obligation to the people of the F. S. M., and should uphold those obligations

4. On the Diplomat article, it stated that if the US fully broke away from Micronesia, we would lose the free trade routes we use within their waters.

9. According to the Honolulu Civil Beat Article, over 30% of the Micronesian population have migrated to the America in search of a better life. They receive actual health-care here, something they need badly. They would undergo a population drop if you we don't support them medically.

10. The US used the Federal States of Micronesia to test more then 67 nuclear weapons, as found on Civil Beat, ultimately changing their islands forever. The USA now has moral obligations to the F.S.M, because they pretty much ruined their land.

11. The USA can support Micronesia in it's decolonization by continuing to provide economic and immigration assistance to Micronesia. We can continue to allow them to come to America for health care while they develop a better system of health care, and economy.

12. In continuing to support them, we protect ourselves as they benefit. It becomes a win-win situation as before it was only a one-sided win situation because only the colonizers benefit from colonization.

13. They may not be able to de-colonize and grow without the assistance of our modern technology and healthcare on the side. As found on the Civil Beat article, they have a very weak economy and will not be able to do things on their own.
