1.1. radio waves-are vitial to communication around the world.

1.1.1. microwave-are shorter than radio waves

1.1.2. infrared radiation-can't be seen but they are felt by heat

2. visible light

2.1. ultraviolet rays-carries more energy than visible light but can burn skin.

2.2. x-rays-represent extremely high energy radiation

2.3. gamma rays-represent extremely high energy radiation

3. properties of light

3.1. wavelengths-the distance from the crest of one wave to the crest of the next

3.2. amplitude-the height of a wave from the rest position to the crest.(highest point)

3.3. frequency-the number times the medium vibrates in a given unit of time.
