Privacy & Security by Mind Map: Privacy & Security

1. Importance and Impact

1.1. Security and Privacy are both very important as it connects with technology. It has impacted our world, most especially in our time right now, where everyone uses social media to posts things, not realizing, it could harm us later on. Most of us, especially teens share more personal information than we think we d as per the Pew research center. And no matter how safe we think these websites are once posted in the net its public. Just like what he said, "You have zero privacy anyway. Get over it." (Sprenger, 1999).

2. How do they relate to each other?

2.1. These two topics relate to each other and goes hand in hand. Security is what you decide to post on online. Again no matter how safe you think a website is once you post you personal information from credit card information, to a simple check in on where you are on Facebook, it stays there for forever and for anyone to see even when you think you have changed the privacy settings. And privacy is what you decide to share. So it is up to you on how much information of yourself you want out there for people to know.

3. How do the complement and oppose each other?

3.1. Privacy and Security complement each other because it has to do with who they share their information with and what personal information they choose to share. And they also oppose because both have different functions such as what you chose to share and who you decide to share your information with online.

4. Conclusion

4.1. In conclusion i believe both privacy and security are very important. People need to take more caution on the private information they decide to share online even with the security these social media has it still can't be reliable.

5. Introduction

5.1. The topics i chose to compare for this discussion are privacy and security.
