Bob Ewell

1. Beliefs and values.
1.1. Believes all White people are above Blacks. quote - 'Im really sorry they picked you to defend that nigger that raped my Mayella'.
1.2. The thought of an interracial marriage or relation ship disgusts him.
2. Textual issues
2.1. Bob Ewell is shown to be not the best of fathers. Even when Mayella is in court, she talks about what a hard life she has, and how the issues mainly come from home.
2.2. Bob was also very poor, however most people in the story were. The Ewell's had such little amount of money that Burris would turn up to school filthy, because he had no way of getting clean.
3. Acts Like
3.1. Bob was rude and sarcastic, in the witness chair his statements are sarcastic and he tries to be humorous.

5.1. Not much is said about Bob Ewell's actual appearance in the book. but we know that he is; white, and was described as being unclean/dirty.
6. How others see him
6.1. The Ewell's know that they are the lowest of the low amongst the whites in Maycomb.
6.2. Sexist, racist, stubborn, abusive.
7. Personality
7.1. Racist ("I seen that black nigger yonder ruttin' on my Mayella!"), aggressive, stubborn, self centered, sexist, and abusive towards others even his own children.
8. Motivated by:
8.1. White supremacy
8.2. Bob Ewell was also motivated to build his reputation amongst his community.
