"There Will Come Soft Rains" by Mind Map: "There Will Come Soft Rains"

1. "There will come soft rains", is a story written in the future. The house it takes place in is very high-tech. Since the house is in the future I'm not surprised. Anyway, the houses alarm clocks go off and voices tell people to get up. Unfortunately, they're no life form living in the house. On the other hand, the house still has a regiment that it follows, even with nobody in the house. After it wakes them up it feeds them, the family usually has lunch outside and plays cards so benches ascend from the house. Food, cards, and drinks appear. Then the children get to run and play outside. Next, the house plays poems from its memory. Last, the houses bathtubs start to fill to bathe the children, for everybody to go to sleep. If the house detects anything weird it will fix it, so one day a dog appears outside the front door. The house lets the dog in. After the dog is in, it smells food the house is making. He gets really hyper and exhausts all his energy. The dog dies right there. The house sends robotic mice to clean up the remains. Afterward, the house continues its schedule. Suddenly, a tree falls on the stove and erupts in flames. The house slowly burning, the robotic mice take action. Darting and flashing across the floor. Heading toward bathtubs and sinks from leftover water, the mice squirt water onto the fire. Next, sprinklers descend from the ceiling. Spewing green liquid onto the fire. The fire is slowly put out, but not after destroying most of the house. The last dying voice saying over and over, Today is August 5, 2026!
