1. Summative- This is a more formal way to assess students' knowledge. This is done at specific points in a lesson and students will receive a grade or score over their work.

5. Formative- A continuous way to gather information to better see where a student is at with a concept. These strategies are used randomly and constantly throughout a lesson so that a teacher can quickly give feedback and adjust instruction to help improve student learning.
