1. French Revolutions
1.1. Camisard rebellion in France, Natchez Revolt. Samba Rebellion.
2. Revolts of the early 19th century
2.1. Boxer Rebellion, Dorr Rebellion, Hut Tax War of 1898, North-West Rebellion, Peasants’ revolt in Palestine, Lower Canada Rebellion, Upper Canada Rebellion.
3. Italian Unification
3.1. was the political and social movement that consolidated different states of the Italian peninsula into the single state of the Kingdom of Italy in the 19th century.
4. German Unification
4.1. was the uniting of East and West Germany in 1990 after they had been separated since 1945. This followed the opening of the Berlin Wall in 1989 and then the collapse of the East German government.
5. 19th Century Science
5.1. Biology, chemistry, physics, astronomy, medicine, and engineering
6. Liberalism
6.1. a political philosophy or worldview founded on ideas of liberty and equality.
7. Nationalism
7.1. the strong belief that the interests of a particular nation-state are important.
8. Socialism
8.1. a political and economic theory of social organization that advocates that the means of production, distribution, and exchange should be owned or regulated by the community as a whole.
9. Romanticism
9.1. a movement in the arts and literature that originated in the late 18th century, emphasizing inspiration, subjectivity, and the primacy of the individual.
10. Realism
10.1. the attitude or practice of accepting a situation as it is and being prepared to deal with it accordingly.
