1. Video Games

1.1. Playstation 2

1.1.1. Wizardry: Tale of the Forsaken Land

1.1.1.1. Wizardry was a tile-based RPG for the PS2, sort of like Eye of the Beholder for the PC. I finished the game, found the Abyss, beat Nine Tail, etc.. One thing I never did was test the rumors that the abyss has a bottom, possibly at level 1000, possibly at level 10,000. I never had the patience. I timed how long it would take me- power outages would be a significant risk since you have to exit the abyss to save. If you're in the abyss when the power goes out, you have to start over at the top. I have a PS2 emulator, so I could cheat and edit the running program or use Autohotkeys and get the game to play itself, but anything short of playing the game on an actual PS2 means there's a chance the emulated game won't behave the way the actual game would on a real-life PS2. The main issue, aside from the time it would take, is how long the attempt would take vs. how long we go without a power outage at my house. I have an uninterruptible power supply (UPS), so I might try running the PS2 off of that.

2. Home

2.1. Yardwork

2.1.1. Clearing out some twigs, brush, etc.. Fired up the wood chipper, but the hand fulls of sticks take too long to feed in the hopper. The chipper is by far the most efficient way to compress yard waste into a smaller volume, but for time efficiency it's better to just stomp on the piles of sticks. They're dry and dead, so they crack easy.

2.2. Shed

2.2.1. I keep boxes of junk in the shed. Over the years I've got rid of a lot of junk, either throwing stuff away or donating it to a local thrift store. Sometimes I'll look for something in the shed and I'll find something I forgot about or haven't done anything with in a long time. I might start a new project or take up an old project.

2.2.2. GPS- Found my Garmin Etrex GPS unit. It's an older, basic model- no PC interface, no keyboard, no road mapping. Just enter the GPS coordinates (up/down/select each digit) and go.

2.2.3. Cable- Found my USB female - micro USB male cord. It connects a regular USB plug or thumb drive to anything with a micro USB port. The idea is to connect external storage to my phone. I don't know how well this will work with my current phone (Samsung Galaxy S6) since the S6 has features removed that were present in the S4 (such as phone to TV video out).

2.2.4. Cables- 3 USB extension cables. I thought about mounting my phone or GPS along the top edge of my windshield, to keep them out of the way of the main view, but I would need extension cables to keep the power cords from hanging down in my view.

2.2.5. 3 controllers- 2 PS2/USB dual type, 1 USB. Every so often I get the urge to play old school emulator games or a console game. I might get around to playing Wizardry or Final Fantasy XII on the PS2.
