ADJECTIVES

Adjectives are words that describe or modify another person or thing in the sentence. Usually it is used to describe a noun, but an adjective can also describe a verb (an action).

-ED adjectives

adjective + past participle Adjectives ending in -ED are usually used to express a passive meaning.

Adjectives ending with -ED are usually used to describe the result of an action or the reciever of a feeling. Example: I was bored by Mario's presentation today. Adjectives ending with -ING are usually used to describe the cause or the giver of a feeling. Example: Mario was very boring during the presentation today. Explanation: Mario causes this feeling.
