1.1. Make collages of butterflies/caterpillars (ART)

1.3. Use play-doh to create a caterpillar (ART, Sensory experiences, and Fine Motor Skills)
1.4. Make a caterpillar with different paper plates and hang them from the ceiling (ART)
1.5. Discuss which foods are good for you and which foods are bad for you & taste them (Sensory Experiences)
2. Mathematics
2.1. Counting items in the story--SIng a song for counting the items (MUsic & Movement)
2.1.1. Research and prepare experiment
2.2. Bulletin board with days of the week and foods with velcro backings that the students can use to count and sort and such. (Finel Motor Skills)
2.3. While counting the different items, the students can participate in different activities such as jumping up and down, or sliding to the left or to the right (Large Motor Skills)
3. Language
3.1. Discuss different letters and sounds that the letters and words of the foods and such have and make
3.1.1. Text book, exercises 34, 35, 36, 37
3.2. Caterpillar starts with the letter c so the students can draw and color something that starts with the letter c (ART, Fine Motor Skills)
3.3. Read other books about insects
3.4. Use stamps to learn more about the letters (Fine Motor Skills)
3.5. Sing and dance to a song about the letter c on youtube (Music & Movement)
4. Social Studies
4.1. Habitats and where caterpillars and other insects live and what they eat and such
4.2. Health---Food related activites (see creativity and math)
5. Science
5.1. Life cycle of caterpillars and caterpillars turning into butterflies
5.1.1. Have the children act out different motions for different parts of the life cycle (Large Motor Skills)
5.2. Have a class caterpillar for the students to observe
5.3. Learn about other insects and read non-fiction books about them.
5.3.1. Sing a song about caterpillars and insects (Music & Movement)
