1. Purpose

2.1.1. Process of gathering evidence of student learning, providing feedback, adjusting instruction strategies to enhance achievement, learners can change behaviors.

2.2.1. Low level, no student feedback, periodic testing through out the year. Examples; Chapter tests, six weeks test, etc.

2.3.1. End of large church of learning, review what you want to do, criteria for ensuring high-quality assessment, representatives sampling. Examples- standardized testing, final exams, major cumulative projects, research projects, etc.

2.4.1. Individual or group projects, portfolios, student logs and journals.
