Electing a President

1. Start with citizens voting to elect candidates for your state

1.1. Candidate with most state wide votes, receives all electoral votes for your state

2. Electoral College: # of state districts + # of senators (2)

2.1. states with higher populations, have more districts, hence more influence

3. Candidate that can win enough states to reach 270 or the majority of all the combined electoral votes of 538

4. Candidate with the most state wide votes, becomes the candidate your state supports for president
