12. Ontario's Equity and Inclusive Education Strategy provides ways of removing discriminatory barriers to student achievement. Barriers include biases that relate to ethnicity, race, faith, family structure, socioeconomic status, sexual orientation, ability and mental health. LDAO serves to promote equity by removing said barriers for students with learning disabilities (ability and mental health).
