1. Vision / Goals

1.1. Access to a safe, affordable and secure place to live in peace and dignity.

Program Goals To prevent urban, at-risk Aboriginal youth from becoming involved with the law and to prevent them from re-offending by providing positive alternatives and thereby reduce the representation of Aboriginal youth in the criminal justice system. Services include: Anger Management Peer counselling supports Homework Help and Study Skills Advocacy in school and court Employment referral services Violence prevention training Access to Traditional Teachings, sports and recreational activities, guidance, and Youth Groups

3. Access to Programs

3.1. Events and programs take place at different locations throughout the city. There is a calendar of events on their website. www.brantfordnativehousing.com

3.2. To be eligible for housing, a minimum of 50% of family members must be of Native Ancestry and applications are accepted in a chronological order.

4.1. Volunteers are always welcome based on need for specific jobs. Criminal record check is required, oath of confidentiality must be signed and upheld, and attend meetings as needed.
