2.1. Kidsability is an organization that was founded in 1957 in Waterloo Region to support children with a wide variety of special needs. There is a team of therapists, teachers, support staff and volunteers that assist children from birth to school exit through support services and therapy. Kidsability is a member of the Ontario Association of Children's Rehabilitation Services. This is an organization that embraces and respects all types of diversity.

3. The Kids Can't Wait Campaign

3.1. "The Kids Can't Wait Campaign helps fund direct therapy services, strategic initiatives, education and specialized pediatric care for children at KidsAbility™. Last year, our organization helped 6,318 children and youth with special needs. However, we still have more than 767 on a waiting list. For some of our children, having to wait may mean the difference between being able to walk or having to use a wheelchair, being able to talk or being nonverbal - the list goes on and on.
