1.1. When her son died, at the funeral the tomb was set on the banks of the Nile, where Jupiter had set sparks and cinders to his funeral pile to be turned onto birds which, divided into two flocks and fought over the pile till they fell into the fires.
2. Mythes
2.1. Some believe that the myths are still true, and that near the Nile where the two colossal statues stand, one is Memnon, and when the firat rays of sun hit, writers say that a sound whcih they compare to the snapping of a harp string is heard

3.1. At the close of light, Eos rises from the East and mounts her chariot drawn by the horses Lampus and Phaethon

4.1. She was the mother to Boreas, Eurus, Zephyrus, and Notus
5. Ares
5.1. When she slept with Ares, Aphrodite cursed her to fall in love with young lovers
