Rules for indefinite articles "a" and "an"

1. When it use "AN"
1.1. When the word begins with a vowel (a, e, i , o, u ), then you must use 'an' as hear sounds better and more appropriate to say .
1.2. EXAMPLE
1.2.1. "an" umbrella
1.2.1.1. "an" ice cream

1.2.1.2.1. "an" eye
2. When it use "A"
2.1. When the word begins with a consonant you must use 'a'.
2.1.1. EXAMPLE
2.1.1.1. "a" cup of coffee
2.1.1.1.1. "a" glass of water

3.1. However , this rule there is an exception . If you are using a word with an ' h' move, as ' honorable ' or ' honest ' then you have to use 'an' .
