1.2.4. Economic purpose is the key ingredient to help keep society stable.

1.2.5. The role of the school is to focus on each of these perspectives and its heart to understand each purpose and it's role. It's to help with the education aspect in society.

2.7. These representative have made changes in school to help each student meet the needs of the curriculum to be successful students. Also, they have developed positive climate where students, teachers, and parents work together to achieve educational goals.

3. Curriculum & Pedagogy

3.1. I advocate the developmentalist curriculum because it's belief to help the need and interests of the student rather than the needs of society.

3.2. Traditional teachings encouraged learning through content knowledge. While, scientific teachings approaches are test and data collection.

4. Equality of Opportunity

4.1. There are many impacts when it comes to educational outcomes. However, class, race, and gender each impact educational outcomes because people are discriminated by all the above. Students in different social classes contain different kind of educational experience. Race has an impact because a person's race has a direct impact on how much education they will receive. Also, gender has an impact on education because women tend to be rated as better students than men.

4.2. One response was sociologist examined and reexamined the data. The other response was from scholars was defining characteristics of school that made them effective.

5. Educational Inequality

5.1. The middle class cultures values work and initiative, while poor rejects work values and initiative as a means to success.

5.2. School Financing helps provide funds for schools and materials to provide educational resources. Effective School research allows researchers ways to help teachers with resources to use in the classroom.

6.1. Intersectional choice plans include private and public schools. Charters schools are free and allow students to be more effective than public schools

7. Politics of Education

7.1. The four purposes of schooling are intellectual, political, social, and economic. Intellectual purpose in school is to teach basic cognitive skills such as reading and writing. Political purpose is to prepare students who will participate in political order. Social purpose is to help student solve social problems independently. Economic purpose is to prepare students for later career goals.

7.1.1. Radical perspective is conservative and liberal perspectives that believes that democratic socialism is a fairer system. This perspective stresses training and socializing as a function in the schools and sees the school as an enabling students.

8. History of U.S. Education

8.1. Social Reform has a huge influence on education because it solved many diversity issues that prevented students from learning. The reform allowed the opportunity for disadvantage children to obtain an education.

9. Sociology of Education

9.1. Functionalism social order in the schools that describe schools as battlefields. Conflict theories believe that schools are like a battlefield, where students struggle against students and students against administrative. Meanwhile, interactional theories are about relationships with school and society.

9.1.1. Knowledge and attitude has an impact on students because there more the student knows the more involved they will socialize and enjoy politics. Employment has an impact on education because graduating from college will land better jobs for individuals. Education and Mobility are important because it lead to more economic and social mobility students are more successful.
