Who this issue affects by Mind Map: Who this issue affects

1. Authors

1.1. This will affect authors, especially ones who write in the historical fiction genre, because they usually make a profit from selling their books and they would not be able to get the compensation they deserve for that hard work if sales are dropping because of the new generation.

1.2. This would also affect publishers and editors for similar reasons

2. Historians

2.1. This would also impact historians because they are usually required in the process of making a historical fiction book because even though the story isn't a completely factual account of the experiences, it still has to be somewhat accurate in order to be grouped as "historical fiction." This would effect historians because there might be a decreasing number of jobs for them for the decreasing demand for the genre.

4. Students

4.1. When students don't read historical fiction as much as other genres, they will lack the crucial understanding of history. This will result in general ignorance along with the next generation being unaware of the past and without that knowledge, the future will be full of the same mistakes being made as they did 100 years ago.

5. Teachers

5.1. Students not being as interested in history and historical fiction will make it that much harder for teachers to go through their lesson plan and teach their students the required material that is part of the curriculum.
