1. Functional specialisation
1.1. General managers (responsible for the performance of a distinct unit of the organisation).
1.2. Functional managers (responsible for an area of work)
1.3. Line managers (responsible for the performance of activities that directly meet customers' needs)
1.4. Staff manager (responsible for the performance of activities that support line manager. Activities like finance, personnel, purchasing or legal affairs)
1.5. Project managers (responsible for a temporary team crated to change some element of an organisation)
1.6. Entrepreneurs (People who see opportunities in a market and mobilise the resources to deliver the product)
2. Vocabulary
2.1. Tengible : Things you can see and you can touch (plant, people, books...)
2.2. Intengible : Non-physical assets, things you can't touch and you can't see, you can only imagine them (reputation, knowledge,information)
2.3. Stakeholder : Person who gets interested in the decisions of a company. (Ex : creditors, directors, government, employees...)

4.1. Definition
4.1.1. A model represents a complex phenomen by identifying the major elements and relashionships. Models aim to identify the main variables in a situation, and the relashionship between them.
4.2. Why do managers use models ?
4.2.1. Managers use models because it can help them to understand a complex situation.
4.2.2. Good models save time and effort
4.2.3. Without theory, it's hard to understant what happens in the world
