1.1.1. Greenhow acknowledges there are potential pitfalls, but says it’s shortsighted to ignore the positive aspects. She has studied adolescent Internet habits since 2007, and found that high school students are boosting their creativity and technical skills through the sites.

1.1.2. Professor Christine Greenhow has found that students build important bonds when they connect with school friends on social networking sites.

1.1.3. “When kids feel connected and have a strong sense of belonging to the school community, they do better in school,” said Greenhow, an education professor. “They persist in school at higher rates and achieve at higher rates. ... It’s pretty promising that engaging in social networking sites could help them to develop and deepen their bonds over time.”

2. Articles

2.1. White officer's heartfelt message to a black teen: The article is mostly praising a police officer who wrote a message on facebook that touched me. The gist of the message was talking about how he pulled over this young black teen and this teen was so terrified he was shaking and the officer told the teen he wasn't going to hurt him or even write him a ticket. He says that the look that teen gave him made him  think and that he doesn't care who's fault it is he wants this attitude of fear towards cops to disappear. This was mostly a human interest story but also included a little bit of conflict and controversy this included little if not any facts and tons of opinions.

2.2. In Saudi Arabia a royal was executed for murder:  A member of the royal family was executed by beheading for the murder of a man Turki bin Saud bin Turki bin Saud Al-Kabeer many people are pleased with the guilty verdict for him because that gives them the security knowing that on one is above the law. this is mostly a factual story which involves a lot of controversy and conflict.

2.3. What to watch for in the final face-off. The article mostly talks about how Clinton is going to have a hard time dealing with wikileaks releasing data and the press is wondering whether Trump will argue that the polls are rigged as he has before. Surprisingly the article didn't seem biased and it was very big on conflict and controversy.

3. Habit 1

3.1. Habit 1 be proactive take responsibility for everything, only you control your destiny.each day we get about 100 chances to be proactive and reactive. Proactive people are like water, they flow how they want, reactive people are like a soda pop they explode and react when shaken. Proactive people take the initiative and reactive people wait for things to come to them.
