Scales and Types of Conflict by Mind Map: Scales and Types of Conflict

1. Local conflicts: There are many local conflicts that happen here in the U.S. Currently there are riots going on in San Diego. Because of many black lives being taken, people in El Cajon are rioting. They are involved in a movement called #blacklivesmatter. Their goal is to have equal treatment to the black community.

1.1. Local Scales of conflicts can affect people in a community or small area. Usually these conflicts can be solved by the police. Some may get out of hand and this may lead to things like #blaclivesmatter.

1.2. Local conflicts may not be the biggest concern. People think that since they are so little that everything will be alright. Well what if we didn't take care of these things. what would happen then?

2. Conflict is a problem or issue that happens between a group of people, and can be turn very bad or can be solved.

3. One big one was Slavery. This was a terrible thing going on in the world. It spread all over many regions and it affected many friendships and families. Now thankfully one of our past presidents, Abraham Lincoln made an effort to put a stop to this. It is not all the way gone, but it has gotten much better.

3.1. Continental Divide: The U.S. and The European Union are on the edge of having a Major trade and an Economic Conflict because  America as put a restriction on american beef and bananas causing about  a hundred million dollars of annual trade.

3.2. Racial Uplift: In 1903 a African American man named W.E.B. Du Bois questionably asked himself if there ever was a positive way that African Americans could keep a positive identity in a U.S. Society.

3.3. There are also Regional and National types of conflicts that can occur. These things can happen in a specific nation or region. So if a conflict happened in a country that would be in this category.

4. There is one last big scale of conflict. It is Global conflicts. These things happen all over the world. This affects the most amount of people and it should be at the top of your scale. This is something that we cannot take easily.

4.1. Segregation: There was, and still is segregation going on all over the world. Segregation is when a person or group of people get separate for a certain purpose. This was a big issue during the 1950's. Many black people were not able to do things that the white people could do. A man named Martin Luther King Jr.  had a dream, and made this cause much better. There is always segregation that is happening. It is seen all over the place, and this conflict may never be stopped.

5. Scales can relate to conflict because you may not care about a conflict as much, or you may not see it as an issue. This can cause more issues or even bigger conflicts.

5.1. Scales can be the way someone feels about something or the way amount of care they show.
