1. Lenses - A lens is a transmissive optical device that focuses or disperses a light beam by means of refraction.
1.1. Types
1.1.1. biconvex (convex)
1.1.2. biconcave (concave)
1.2. Types of Images
1.2.1. Virtual
1.2.2. Real
2. Mirrors - a reflective surface, now typically of glass coated with a metal amalgam, that reflects a clear image.
2.1. Types
2.1.1. Plane mirrors - This type has a flat or planar reflective surface.
2.1.2. Spherical mirrors - These can be concave/converging or convex mirrors.
2.1.3. Curved mirror - is a mirror with a curved reflecting surface. The surface may be either convex (bulging outward) or concave (bulging inward). Most curved mirrors have surfaces that are shaped like part of a sphere, but other shapes are sometimes used in optical devices.
2.2. Types of Images
2.2.1. Virtual
2.2.2. Real
