1. HIGH TATRAS National Park

1.1. The High Tatras mountains are situated in the northern part of Slovakia, on the border with Poland.The High Tatras, having 29 peaks over 2,500 metres. Tatras mountain is a coreal mountain. Geological structure of the High Tatras is complicated. The core of the Tatra Mountains was created in Palaeozoic. Furthermore, mountain was modeled after the Alpine orogeny.

2. LOW TATRAS National Park

2.1. National park Nízke Tatry (NAPANT) is the largest Slovak National Park. It lies in Central Slovakia and its greatest attractions. The typical features of this Park are long valleys, deep canyons and steep rocks, coated by dwarf pines or grassland even though the predominants are forest overgrows, lower and mixed forests with the abies, beech, spruce, larch, and maple.

3. National Park of PIENINY

3.1. The National Park of Pieniny (PIENAP) is the smallest of the Slovak National Parks, but as far as its beauty concerns, it is in no way less beautiful. It is the second oldest Park in Slovakia. Of its total area, forests represent nine square kilometres while the rest is unique agricultural landscape with small fields, green meadows and pastures adorned with stacks of sweet smelling freshly mown hay in summer.
