1. Many Ways to Assess
1.1. These are not limited to these types of assessment. Assessment is seen as a way to chart growth in students.
1.1.1. Multiple Choice Questions
1.1.2. True/ False questions
1.1.3. Factual and Short Answer questions
1.2. Assessing across multiple mediums allows students a chance generate new ideas.
1.3. Having a variety of ways that you asses one topic can also allow you to have better data and be ready to give better information about your student when the time comes.
2. Summative
2.1. Summative assessment happens at the end of a large chunk of learning.
2.2. Here is when teachers begin to assess what was taught through out the teaching period in a review before the test.
2.3. Most Summative assessments that we see today are final exams, standardized tests and big projects.
3. Formative
3.1. A formative assessment is an assessment that you can do regularly or on a daily basis.
3.2. This can include oral questions or a exit ticket
3.3. There are Formal and informal Assesments
3.3.1. Formal assesments examples would be a weekly quiz
3.3.2. Informal assessments would be questioning the students throughout a lesson.
