The Water Cycle

1. C. Precipitation
1.1. The wind blows and carries the clouds across the sky collecting more water vapor.
1.2. The clouds get heavier and heavier.
1.3. When the clouds can no longer stay in the sky, water (rain) falls.
1.3.1. Depending on the season or weather, precipitation can be rain, snow, sleet, or hail.
2. D. Collection
2.1. The water returns to the plants, land, rivers, lakes, & oceans.
3. The cycle continues again
4. A. Evaporation
4.1. The sun heats up the water
4.1.1. The water comes from plants, land, rivers, lakes, & oceans.
