1.1. The phone line is 24 hours, 7 days a week

1.2. Students and youth never have to feel alone

1.3. Communities have their own phone number. Counsellors speak in the first language. I am currently working in Nunavut and there are posters in the school. The students can call and speak in their first language.

1.4. The services help the teens by giving them the time to speak about what is on their mind. This in turn helps their family life, school life and their own personal growth and health.

2.1. Services can be accessed online or by phone (home phone, or mobile phone)

3.1. To provide free help for people 20 years and under

3.2. An anonymous and confidential conversation for teens

4. How does Kids Help Phone address equity, inclusion and cultural awareness?

4.1. This free service provides phone and web counselling regarding various areas of concern

4.2. The website provides information about various areas of counselling: bullying, LGBTQA, family, friendships, relationships, money, physical health etc.

4.3. There is information on the website, but the phone number is provided and the counsellor will assist the youth with their area of counselling (may be multiple areas).

4.4. The website openly represents cultural groups and a 21st lens on the world. The website is inclusive and provides a positive tone for those who would be calling regarding their personal issue.
