Why Mars? by Mind Map: Why Mars?

1. Resources

1.1. Finding new resources on different planets can help Earth thrive even better with the new materials.

1.1.1. Mars has a soil that is mainly iron dust, which can be restored to form iron. The benefits of this iron will create more space projects and metal structures.

2. New planets

2.1. Finding more planets means more opportunities to study them

2.1.1. If we find more planets suitable for humans, the Earth may last more than 2100, and humans might survive forever.

3. Knowledge

3.1. Gaining knowledge of other planets helps us determine whether a certain planet is habitable or inhabitable.

3.1.1. NASA used asteroseismology from a star to measure the diameter of a exo-planet to figure out it's mass. We can use the same formula to calculate other planets mass.

3.1.1.1. Looking at the atmosphere of a planet through a probe tells scientists what the atmosphere is made of. And most of the time, it's not exactly safe for life.

4. Peace

4.1. Finding habitable planets as a global project can develop world peace, as everyone won't be focused on killing each other.

4.1.1. The project on sending humans to Mars would be a world involvement, for everyone is looking forward to the future.

4.1.1.1. Sending humans to exo-planets after going to Mars would probably be big, so the world can lie in peace till 2100.
