The reason why sources say certain information is because, they want their audiences to think in a certain way, and they feel that the best way to do that is to tell people things in a way that works best for them. The reason that they want to write their headlines in a way that both attracts people's attentions as well as almost demands them to read the article. The reasons that they leave some word out is again to make their audience think a certain way. Take the articles I used for example, they each either used the exact same wording or only changed a few words. The things the media have to gain are money, fame, and trying to get more people to think like them. The point of social media reporting on this is that it makes the word get out fast, the word getting out faster means that they have more people both thinking like them and making them famous, and making them famous makes them more money. The different accounts can confuse people if they look at multiple sources, but it also makes them them more interested to find out what is the truth (at least in my case).
