1. What I thought Was Technology

2. Just like Discman did for my generation who grew up rewinding the tape using pencil. CD technology gave us instant rewind and forward.

3. Still remember when most of us needs to go to photo shop to get film developed. Digital technology in camera practically eliminated the need to go to shop and get the film printed at home.

4. Before taking this course I never though about technology as a subject and never though about inquiring about it. I generally thought that technology is mostly around electronics or machines or equipment. It is taking an existing stuff, making it better or inventing new way of doing stuff that also makes our life easier and helping us do things easier, faster and better. Technology created new stuff and some time eliminated old one.

7. What I think Now

8. After going through the text and watching videos and reading text, I realized that technology is everything we do in this world. It is a natural evolution of humankind. We have been going through technology revolution since first human were able to develop tools for hunting. The speed of the revolution may be much faster now that in past and may be that is because of the transfer of knowledge and collaboration has changed the speed of innovation. According to Thomas P. Hughes(2004) Technology is messy and complex. It is difficult to define and to understand. In its variety, it is full of contradictions, laden with human folly, saved by occasional benign deeds, and rich with unintended consequences

According to Kevin Kelly in The Agenda with Steve Paikin (2016) the technology is moving very fast and Physical world, humans and technology is coming together and joining their collective brain to create a giant thing that he coined as Halos. This is technology at it peak when everything will be connected and will work together

10. Based on the theory of Kevin Kelly it is concerning that in future the technology will be combined as one central thing that will control mankind. The technology is also making some of the workforce redundant and the future of the workforce will be different that what is today. The transformation is same what is going on since beginning but the transformation is much faster today that it was in last century. We all need to adapt to the changing technology and learn new skills. Also next generation will not be able to do some of the traditional jobs that will be taken over by robots or artificial intelligence.
