Chapter 12:The Search for the Wicked Witch

1. Dorothy , without thinking, she throws a bucket of water on the Witch. The Witch screams that she melts away and every bit of her melted. Dorothy runs out to find the Lion and tell him they are no longer prisoners.

2. The Tin Woodman picks up his axe, and since he could not be hurt, kills all forty of the wolves one after the other.

3. She sends her minions to destroy the group: first a pack of wolves, then crows, then bees, then armed Winkies. When all of these fail, she uses the power of her golden cap to call the Winged Monkeys.

3.1. The Wicked Witch of the West

4. The King Crow flies at the Scarecrow, who catchs it by the head and twists its neck until it dies. And then another crow flies at him, and the Scarecrow twists its neck also. There are forty crows, and forty times the Scarecrow twists a neck, until at last all are lying dead beside him.

5. Then the Lion gave a great roar and sprang towards them, and the poor Winkies were so frightened that they ran back as fast as they could.
