2.1. Question: Why do people migrate? Answer: People migrate for several different reasons. One of the reasons are economic migration. Economic migration means like moving to another place for work. For example if you live in Jordan and you get a really good job offer in Singapore and can make lots of money you will probably move. Another reason is social migration. Social migration means when you move somewhere for a better life or to be closer with family and friends. Another reason is for political migration which means moving to escape political things for example Donald Trump or to move because of war. Another one is environmental migration which is when there are like natural disasters and floods and things like that and you move because of that.

2.1.1. Question: How do people choose where to migrate to? Answer: Well the answer is practically in the other question because the other one was why do people migrate. But people normally choose to migrate to places that have better jobs to offer and higher paid jobs so they get more money so that’s why so they get more money. Another way people choose where to migrate to is if you have family living there so that you can spend more time with them or maybe close friends. Another way people choose where to migrate to is somewhere where there is no war and it is peaceful for example if you had a lot of money and lived in Afghanistan you would probably want to move to Singapore because there is no war it is peaceful. The last way people choose where to migrate to is if you have a lot of money again and you live somewhere where there are always major earthquakes and floods you would probably want to move somewhere with no earthquakes and no floods so that you are safe. I also got this from BBC news website article that was last updated in 2014.
