Kids should not be able to compete in extreme sports because of the extreme costs, the safety, and the enjoyment of the children. by Mind Map: Kids should not be able to compete in extreme sports because of the extreme costs, the safety, and the enjoyment of the children.

1. Injury/Safety

1.1. Competition should be able to able available during childhood, but higher up competitions like X Games and such, require certain levels of fitness, maturity, and skills that younger children may not have.

1.2. Developing

1.2.1. But children, whose bodies, muscles, and bone structure is still developing and growing shouldn't be allowed to participate in competitions that push your body so much.

1.3. But the lasting effects of a bad fall or collision aren’t the only reasons to steer clear of extreme sports; injuries are disruptive in the short term too. They can keep teens out of school for weeks, setting students back and possibly preventing them from progressing to the next grade on time.("Should teens do extreme sports?")

2. Expenses

2.1. Tickets and travel can be costly, along with cost for gear and personal fitness.

3. Fun for the children

3.1. Its not fun anymore.

3.2. "Most children would rather play on a losing team than sit on the bench of a winning team,” (Avery Faigenbaum, youth fitness researcher and professor.)

3.3. “And in general, high-level competition for young kids is not a great thing,” (Dr. Jordan Metzl, co-author of “The Young Athlete: A Sports Doctor’s Complete Guide for Parents.”)

4. We're all talking about EXTREME sports, what about the EXTREME costs?
