4.3.1. What resources are available?

4.3.1.1. Surry County School has an Educational Foundation Liason that helps get out information about grant and award opportunities that teachers can apply for. We currently only have two grant opportunties based out of the county itself, most grants that are awarded to teachers in Surry County School are either North Carolina based grants or National grants. Whenever there are outside grants, either at the state or national level available one of the assistant superintendents will email the information out for teachers.

4.3.2. Are there grant writing workshops on grant writing provided in our district?

4.3.2.1. At the Teaching and Learning Conference held at the beginning of the school year sometimes offers grant writing workshops if they have someone to lead it. If not, no other workshops are available throughout the year. However, teachers that struggle with writing grants are encouraged to reach out to their adminstrators, instructional coaches and media coordinators for assistance.

4.3.3. Is there a grant writing specialist for the system?

4.3.3.1. No, we currently don't have a grant writing specialist for Surry County Schools but leaders within the schools are available to assist with grant writing if needed.
