1. They can assess pregnant women with high risk and with chronic illnesses.
2. The obstetric nurse needs studies in control perinatal, work of birth and the care of the newborn.
3. The nurse in this service have to learn to work in group.
4. They should to be in the capacity of to give orientation at patient about familiar planification.
5. The nurse can make activities that promote the health of the women and it decrease the risk and the complications in the pregnancy.
6. The obstetric nurse have de capacity to attend an obstetric and neonatal emergency.
