1. Cyberbullying
1.1. Cyberbullying is "bullying that takes place using electronic technology" (Stop Bullying, n.d., para. 1)
2. Cyber Terrorism
2.1. Cyber Terrorism is "the convergence of terrorism and cyberspace" (Denning, 2000, para. 1)
3. Similarities
3.1. The goal of the two unlawful practices are to harm their victims through the use of the internet.
3.2. Cyber Terrorism is "Cyberbullying to the nth degree" (Millard, 2017)
3.3. Both issues violate the ethical principles on the internet.
4. Differences
4.1. Cyberbullying affects one person at a time.
4.2. Cyber Terrorism spreads fear to numerous people.
5. Its important to recognise these issues as major threats to the safety of internet users. All related cases should be dealt with in a sensitive manner. The world continues to move forward with technology, and so we must be vigilant.
