1. The African Theatre
1.1. Began June 1940 and continued for 3 years
1.2. Between Axis and Allied powers
1.3. Problem began after Italy declared war on the Allied powers
1.3.1. Italy then invaded Egypt
1.4. Constant back and forth from Italy and British
1.5. Hitler got involved by sending in "Afrika Korps"
2. The European Theatre
2.1. Major plan to go against Nazis
2.2. America wanted to join forces with the English
2.3. Allied powers were going to go through English Channel
2.4. Plans were made for April of 1943
2.5. The US began sending troops and supplies to the UK
2.5.1. This was to prepare for this operation
2.6. Operation did not happen until 1944
2.6.1. The British decided to invade North Africa pushing everything back
3. The Pacific Theatre
3.1. Conflict began after bombing of Pearl Harbor
3.2. The Japanese gained controlled over many islands of the Pacific
3.3. The US put Japan in their place in the Battle of Midway
3.3.1. Allies launched an offensive
