4.1. The project of creating a perfect Newspeak is going to take a very long time: even when Syme and Winston will be dead the process will still going on

5. SYME

5.1. Philologist, expert in Newspeak

5.2. tiny figure, smaller than Winston, with dark hair and large protuberant eyes which were atop once mournful and derisive

7. THE PROJECT

7.1. the New Language is about creating new words and deleting others, making the vocabulary as simple as possible (deleting synonyms and antonyms)

7.2. It's perfect to avoid Thoughtcrime: in fact if you delete troublesome words people don't know how to express all that feelings considered thorny.

7.3. Winston likes the Old Speak but he knows he can't tell it. His reaction to Symes ideas is to think that he will soon be vaporized because he's too intelligent and so he may be troublesome to the Party.
