Invasive Species in Australia

1. Feral pigs were introduced into Australia when the settlers came in NSW for food but later they became common and left there captivity and later domesticated to become a wild species and now they attack almost anything that isnt larger then them.

3. The Overbreeding of rabbits was brought into Australia by a man named Thomas eaton who brought over european rabbits for livestock and food.

4. Cane toads have been known throughout Queensland and NSW for their troubles. They were brought to Australia because of the problems had with locust on sugarcane so the cane toads had gotten rid of them.

Many bad things have happened with invasive species over the past century whether it was pigs or horse there have been many cases of them because of people bringing them from around the world and setting them free to do what ever they want to do to the enviroment and not know what could happen to the food chain. It also impacts the government immensely because it cost 100s of millions of dollars to get rid of them or some of them

7. The feral pigs as they are called will kill anything. They have disrupted the ecosystem by breeding so much that they have become one of the most highest breeder in Australia

8. Later the rabbits started to breed and have overpopulated Australia and have become an epidemic to farmers because of the many holes they cause or can cause

9. Cane toads have over breeded and have become an annoyance on many farms because of this.It is estimated that there are over 80 million cane toads in australia.
