5. 6191 londyn,TomTom Sports - Mobile Apps , 3 os react JS

5.1. opis

5.1.1. Updated description text from the customer.... Our codebase is currently something like: 80% cross-platform code (written in JavaScript against React Native) 10% iOS native code 10% Android native code For permanent roles, we tend to favour strong, versatile mobile developers who aren’t dogmatic about one or other of the mobile platforms, for whom we’re happy to make the time and investment to ramp them up on JavaScript and React Native, even if they have no previous exposure. This is because native mobile development is the more involved of the two sides to become expert in and covers more ground skills wise, and we like our permanent developers to have full reach. We also reserve the right to shift mobile implementation technology at any time, as needs drive! For contract roles, we’d ideally like at least some meaningful experience with JavaScript (and maybe React) already in addition to some native mobile platform exposure (at least to the extent of being familiar with the tooling involved in building, deploying and debugging mobile apps). This is so that they can be productive in a reasonable period of time. And because they’re being hired to work on one specific app using one specific implementation approach, we can compromise a bit more: the stronger the candidate’s JavaScript, the more flexible we’re likely to be on the native mobile development side. Good contractor candidates might be: Someone who’s been making heavy use of JavaScript and React within Cordova, even if they haven’t written much native mobile code Someone who’s been writing mobile apps with Appcelerator Titanium or Native Script or Qt Quick Someone who’s a proven native mobile app developer but also has relevant complementary experience, including using JavaScript extensively in other contexts like Node on the server or in web front end work Someone who’s been writing web front end code in JavaScript and React who has a practical working knowledge of mobile app development, the latter perhaps even only through personal/hobby projects Hopefully that makes things a little bit clearer as to why someone like Alejandro is of more immediate interest than a good but more highly specialised mobile developer
