Your friends ask you to sneak out of your house past curfew to go to a party. What do you want to do?

1. DEFINE THE PROBLEM: my friends are trying to get me to sneak out a party when I know that it's past my school night curfew.
2. CONSIDER THE CONSIQUENCES: If I get caught, I will get grounded by my parents. If I'm forced to drink, I could be arrested or hungover at school the next day. This could also effect my active wellness, as staying out late could effect my sleep
3. EXPLORE THE ALTERNATIVES: Ask someone if they just want to hang out separately, or talk it out with your parents first for why you think it would be okay to go.
4. IDENTIFY YOUR VALUES: I want to not get in trouble, but I also don't want to lose friends by not attending the party.
5. DECIDE AND ACT: Because of the consequences of this situation, I choose to stay at my house with my friend who has agreed to staying the night. This way I can stay safe and still be with my friends.
6. EVALUATE THE AFTERMATH: Although I didn't stay up late and party with my whole grade, I still got to hang out with two of my best friends. We might even hang out later.
