By the time I obtain my degree I want to have some experience in corrections. I want to volunteer my time to juveniles that are currently in a juvenile corrections facility. I want to be the best mentor to these kids.

1. During this process I want to gain more leadership skills through leadership workshops, as well as the people I work with.
2. Doing this will help me become a better mentor. I currently work as a mentor for teens, but I can gain skills to apply at work as well.
3. This is were a degree comes into use. Having a this degree with allow me to obtain position I want.
4. Doing this will give my foot in the door. When I interview for a position I will know what they expect from me. Learning how things run in a correctional facility will be beneficial.
5. I also want to do this, so I can job shadow to see how stress levels are for individuals working in corrections. I can see how they cope with the stress in this field of work.
