The Water Cycle
by Sidney Richards
1. Evaporation
1.1. The sun heats the water in the oceans, rivers, lakes, and streams turning the water from its liquid state to its gas state as water vapor.
2. Collection
2.1. Water that falls from the clouds collects in the oceans, rivers, lakes, and streams.
3. Condensation
3.1. Water vapor in the air is turned back into a liquid creating cloud formation.
4. Precipitation
4.1. Water is released from the clouds in the form of rain, sleet, snow, or hail.
