Define The Problem by Mind Map: Define The Problem

1. Decide and Act

2. Explore the Alternatives

3. Consider the Consequences

4. Identify Your Values

5. Evaluate the result

6. Someone is bullying me in front of my peers. This affects my mental health, emotional health, and social health

7. Decide and Act. I would choose to stand up for myself. This is because I value things like courage, independence, and responsibility. This will allow me to stand my ground and to show the bully that I am independent and courageous enough to go against him.

8. Alternatives. 1. Tell An Adult 2. Stand Up For Myself 3. Ask My Friends To Stand Up for Me

9. The Consequences 1. Tell An Adult. Positive: The Adult will tell the bully to stop and the bully will stop. Negative: The bully will continue to bully me secretively because I wasn't able to defend myself. 2. Stand Up For Myself. Positive: This will show the bully that I can stand my ground and that I am not afraid of him/her. Negative: The bully will be harsher after seeing that I am stronger than he/she thought. 3. Ask My Friends To Stand Up for Me. Positive: The bully will back off after I have more people to back me up. This is to avoid having commotion with more than 1 person. Negative: The bully will bully me for not being able to stand my own ground against him. Or even worse the bully will over power us and start bullying all of us.

10. My values include: Courage, Empathy, Respect, Responsibility, and Independence

11. Positive Result: Having a Positive Result would help me gather more self confidence and may help prevent future bullying. This will positively affect my mental, emotional, and social health. Negative Result: Having a Negative Result would lower my self esteem and make me much more prone to bullying. My mental, emotional, and social health will decline. If I still had the strength to fight, I would tell an adult to help defend me. Hopefully, the bully will finally back off after being told by a teacher or a parent.
