1.1.1. They believed that god dominated the world,they also worshiped their ancestors, the sun, the moon, rivers, and the earth.

1.1.2. They believed that they had to keep their ancestors happy or the ancestors would cause bad things to happen such as a bad harvest.

1.1.3. They were polytheistic but they believed in a supreme god who had more power than the rest of them.

1.1.4. Also they believed that the spirits of their ancestors were all around them and occupied objects.

1.2.1. The Sumerians believed in multiple gods.

1.2.3. Sumerians believed that they were put on earth as servants to the gods.

1.2.4. Every family had there own god that they believed in.

2.1.1. controlled by extended families that fought to keep their power.

2.1.2. the person that has the most power is the king then fallowed by his brothers and nephews.

2.1.3. The next most powerful class was the nobles what they did is make equipment such as weapons and clothes for the king/royal family and the military.

2.1.4. the lowest social class were the farmers/pheasants. They did not own the land they farmed on, they had to rent it from the noble class.

2.2.1. Sumerians were lead buy kings in there citys.

2.2.2. City's were built around religious shrines for there gods.

2.2.3. The highest position of the Sumerians were the priest.

2.2.4. The lowest class of all Sumerians were the commoners.

3.1. Shang/Zhou

3.1.1. sense the shang had so much bronze alloy they were able to make a monopoly on the trade and sale of it.

3.1.2. The shang currency was made up of cowie shells witch were made from the indian ocean.

3.1.3. They had trade routes that went through all of china and southern Asia.

3.2. Sumerian

3.2.1. Jobs include building, pottery, farming, metal smiths, and shepards.

3.2.2. Sumerians traded many of there goods buy boats.

3.2.3. Sumerians traded for needed supplies such as wood since it was scarce.

3.2.4. Sumerians had slaves for many of there jobs that they did.

4.1.1. Sense they had such fertile soil they were able to grow more crops than they needed so it led to the Shang being able to build things such as tombs are the great wall.

4.1.2. They built their civilization in the yellow river valley because of the type of soil their.

4.1.3. around the civilization there were not very many geographical barriers witch made it susceptible to invasions.

4.1.4. the yellow river bordered their east so they could not be invaded by land invaders.

4.2. Sumerian

4.2.1. The Sumerians were located between two rivers the Tigris and Euphrates rivers.

4.2.2. There is little to no rain year round and dry heat making the land more like a desert

4.2.3. Sumerians moved to river banks for water and more fertile soil.

4.2.4. The location of the Sumerians is Mesopotamia in the fertile crescent.

5.1.1. The king was both the lawmaker and the judge of criminal ruling.

5.1.2. It was a monarchy by a series of kings

5.1.3. Whenever anyone would disagree with his ruling they would be killed by the military so no one ever challenged him unless they had a bigger army.

5.1.4. The leadership of the government was passed on through the family unless a different family had a larger army and overthrew them.

5.2.1. Kings ruled there own cities and towns.

6.1. Shang/Zhou

6.1.1. Oracle scripts contained records of space events such as solar and lunar eclipses of the stars.

6.1.2. Invented bronze casting to be able to use bronze tools more efficiently.

6.1.3. They had irrigation canals and dams to help farm more efficiently.

6.1.4. They created the cyclic lunar witch worked similar to a calendar that dated events.

6.2.1. Built the first wheel for carts and moving heave objects.

6.2.2. also Sumerians made irrigation systems for farming.

7.1.1. Improvements in bronze casting techniques allowed for delicate musical instruments to be made.

7.1.2. People were preforming distinctions between odd and even numbers.

7.1.3. written characters of the shang dynasty are considered the oldest forms of writing. These were carved in turtle shells, bones etc.

7.1.4. They would make paintings out of ink and silk, used diamonds to craft jade , and most of the art was given as taxes to the king.
