3.1. Definition - Performance assessments are based upon the idea that students have to create something to perform instead of choosing an answer that is already made for them.

4. Assessments allow the students to show their parents, teachers, principals, district, and the state that they live in how they can perform on assessments!

5.1.3. Strategies: Some strategies that I would implement for these kids is knowing what beginning sounds are and ending sounds are. At times they wouldn't know which letter started a word or which letter ended a word. This is one strategy that I would use.

9. Assessments help teachers to understand where their students are at and how they are performing. Many assessments help teachers to know where their students are at based upon certain TEKS and what they need to address again.
