4. Assessment Data

4.1. Student #1- 20%. This student need work on identifying the types of sentences. One strategy I will use for this student is to read all of the sentences to him. The second strategy I will use is to let him take the quiz in a room by himself so he is not distracted by the other students.

4.2. Student #2- 20%. This student needs work on identifying the types of sentences. One strategy I will do for this student is remind him the clue words to tell if a sentence is asking a question- who, what, when, where, why, how, do, can, etc. Also remind him to see how you would say the sentence if you were talking (exclamatory sentences are more excited). The second strategy I would use would be to read the sentences to him so he could hear how they would sound if it were in a conversation.

4.3. Student #3- 30%. This students needs work on telling the differences between questions and excited sentences. The first strategy I would use would be to give him a mentor text where he would have to pick out the sentences that ask a question and sentences that exclaim something. The second strategy I would use would be to let him have a paper with the question clue words and command words on it.
